- RN-supervised caregivers — every client’s care is overseen by a licensed nurse
- 1776 Care Connect — our caregiver matching process designed around personality, not just availability
Nat Truitt
Founder & CEO
Nat Truitt founded 1776 Senior Care in 2014 with a simple mission: to bring joy to seniors and peace of mind to their families. A DuPage County resident himself, Nat built 1776 as a family-owned alternative to the large franchise agencies — small enough to know every client by name, serious enough to deliver the clinical oversight families deserve.
As Founder, Nat remains actively involved in the organization’s leadership, working closely with the care team to ensure every client receives compassionate, reliable support at home. His focus is on building a culture of excellence — recruiting exceptional caregivers, supporting families during difficult transitions, and creating systems that deliver consistently high-quality care.
Under Nat’s leadership, 1776 Senior Care continues to grow through trusted partnerships with families, hospitals, and senior communities throughout the region.
Deanine McGill
President of Operations
Deanine McGill leads day-to-day operations at 1776 Senior Care, working alongside Nat to keep every part of the agency running smoothly — from caregiver scheduling to client service to team development. With a background in senior healthcare leadership, marketing, and business development, Deanine brings both operational rigor and a deep commitment to the people 1776 serves.
She partners closely with hospitals, senior communities, and referral partners across the region to ensure families receive responsive, coordinated care from the very first phone call.
Michele VandenBossche
Executive Senior Care Advisor
Michele VandenBossche is often the first person families meet. She conducts every in-home assessment personally — sitting with families, listening to their story, understanding their loved one’s routine and needs — and builds the initial care plan from what she learns. With more than two decades of experience in senior care and healthcare leadership, Michele knows how to ask the right questions and how to make a stressful first call feel manageable.
She works closely with hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and community partners to support smooth transitions home, and stays involved through the first weeks of service until each client and family is comfortably settled with their caregivers.

With extensive experience in senior healthcare and care coordination, Sara ensures every client receives safe, consistent, and compassionate support, backed by the clinical oversight of a licensed nurse. Her leadership gives families the peace of mind that comes from knowing their loved one’s care is being actively managed by an RN.

Testimonial
I would strongly recommend 1776 Senior Care to anyone looking for assistance with the care of a loved one. This past spring, my husband became ill. He expressed that he wanted to receive services at home, I knew that I was going to need help in caring for him and, after reading reviews of several organizations, I reached out to 1776 Senior Care. The staff was very professional and set up a time for an interview. After, meeting with us, listening to my concerns, and what type of assistance I was hoping secure; they arranged meetings with two of their service providers. Their caregivers, Kelly and Gul, are the most perfect matches for our family and our needs. They are excellent representatives for the company. They are professional in demeanor, always on time, treat my husband (and me) with respect, and help in ways that exceeded our expectations. I would strongly recommend 1776 Senior Care. – Karen Cinert
